VPN is short for Virtual Private Network. VPNs have multiple purposes. They are often used within organisations as internal networks, but are also often used by individuals to add an extra layer of privacy and security, especially when using public WiFi.
A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, allows you to create a secure connection to another network over the Internet. VPNs forward all your personal traffic through their network, which is where the benefits all come from.
Android includes a builtin PPTP, L2TP/IPSec, and IPSec VPN client. Devices running Android 4.0 and later also support VPN apps. To configure the VPN using an enterprise mobility management EMM console.
Open your phones Settings app.
Tap Network & internet Advanced. VPN. If you cant find it, search for "VPN." If you still cant find it, get help from your device manufacturer.
Next to the VPN that you want to disconnect, tap Settings . To disconnect: Turn off that VPN. To forget the network: Tap Forget.
A virtual private network VPN encrypts your internet traffic and protects your online identity via a secured remote server and is most commonly used when remotely accessing company systems e.g., company email, intranet sites, etc..
