1 Click Add.
Select Connect to a workplace and click Next.
Enter the internet IP address of the router for example: 218.18.
Enter the User name and Password you have set for the PPTP VPN server on your router, and click Connect.
First we need to install pptp server using apt-get # sudo apt-get install pptpd.
Then we need to configure the pptpd.
Add server IP and client IP at the end of the file.
Uncomment the ms-dns and add google like below or OpenDNS ms-dns 8.8.8.8 ms-dns 8.8.4.4.
Step 1 : Install pptp client. sudo aptget y install pptplinux.
Step 2 : Setup PPTP Client. Add secret: File : /etc/ppp/chapsecrets.
Step 3 : Create VPN connection: Example for myvpn.
Step 4 : Create a route script that will get run after the PPP connection establishes. Create file :
Open the Activities overview and start typing Network.
Click on Network to open the panel.
At the bottom of the list on the left, click the + button to add a new connection.
Choose VPN in the interface list.
Choose which kind of VPN connection you have.
Network Manager Network connections Click on the Network Manager icon on your desktop bar Notification Area.
Create VPN. On the Network Connections menu click the “Add” button:
Choose Connection Type.
Choose PPTP VPN Server.
Create the VPN.
Connect to the VPN.
